How a Passage Latch Works

Pressing the lever turns the spindle and retracts the latch bolt. Releasing the lever allows the latch to spring back and hold the door closed. There is no key, deadbolt or bathroom turn, so these sets are not intended to lock. If the room needs privacy or controlled access, choose a different lock function.

Latch Set or Latch-and-Hinge Set?
